Life on the Vineyard...no more!

Well, it's hard to believe, but the time has actually come to move! It seems like so long ago that the contract was signed and sealed and the wait began before we had those keys in hand, but that time has quickly approached and it seems so surreal that it's actually happening!

Am I ready? I think so..

Am I sad? Yep.

Am I happy? Yes, Mam or Sir (I think my hubby may be the only male reader ;-))!

Am I thankful? Absolutely.

Will I miss this place? A resounding Y.E.S... who wouldn't!? We have a petting zoo, jungle gym, orchard, winery, ice cream, cheese, restaurant.... ALL IN OUR BACK YARD!

But, we are starting a new chapter...with a new house...a new baby... and new jobs... and I can't thank the Lord enough for how He has unfolded our plan for us. His timing is always perfect and He never ceases to amaze me!

Seriously, what more could a girl ask for? My heart overfloweth...

So, on Friday, at 5 p.m. (maybe earlier), we will be placing that key in the slot and unlocking a lifetime of experiences that will make the next chapter of memories of our lives...
Life.Is.Good!
Enoy the new blog header that my friend, Arlene, put together!

I want to give a shout-out to my blogger-friend, Em! She should be welcoming Baby Cate into the world anyday! Good Luck! I've been thinking/praying for you! ;-)

Stellan

This poor boy needs lifted up in your prayers again! I've posted about Stellan before and have a button on the left-hand side of my blog... Please, please, please pray for his heart to come out of SVT. I KNOW MckMama and her family would covet any words you beseech the Lord with right now in thier sons name! Here is her website if you would like to catch up on the story of thier sweet baby boy.

You know that comment...

I made about never really having issues with Cyd & sleep??? I TAKE IT BACK. RIGHT NOW!

I knew I should've back-spaced right over those words! The last two days of naps have only been 45 minutes to an 1 hour! I'm used to 2-3 hours!!! I'm blaming it on the lawn-mower today... or teething.. not the paci. ;-)

You folks heard it, right!? I TAKE IT BACK!

Atleast she's in a good mood and we're getting ready to take off to pick up Matt from the airport!

18 months, OH MY!

Our girl is 18 months old! I just can't believe how quickly time passes by when you add a little one in your life! Matt and I go on and on about how very blessed we are to have Cydni. She's just such a delight and so happy, mostly! ;-) I could go on and on with what she does now, b/c she's learning something new daily, but I won't... I'll just touch on the big stuff.

She 'cheeses' now & shows us her teeth! ;-)

She plays so well by herself...

Daddy torturing me! ;-) I have to admit, I did some of that too... She hated the sand!

Her hair is getting so long with ringlets all around the bottom!

~24 lbs - 10 oz (50th percentile)
~32 1/2 in (50th percentile)
~18 1/2 head circ. (50th percentile)

Her hair is SO curly after bathtime!

~ She's talking so much more and tries to repeat us.

~ Knows all kinds of animal noises and where body parts are.

~She folds her hands or holds others and stares at us when we pray.

~ She's our sleeping champ. We've never really had a problem with that though... knock on wood!

~ Her paci is GONE! We went cold-turkey just this last Monday and she's adjusted beautifully!
Say 'Bye, Bye Paci!'
~ She can now put on her resume that she's been to Connecticut & New York on her first vaca!

~ She's popping through her 4 'fang' teeth.. Once those break, the count is 16!

********Now, if we can just get her eating right!********

I think those are all the basics! Hope you enjoyed the pictures! ;-)

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

Oh man, where to start! I feel like we've been gone forever! We had an absolute blast at the beach in Connecticut and in New York City. My Aunt Carolyn & Uncle Mario were the best hosts' anyone could ask for! We could have literally stayed another two weeks and probably wouldn't have wanted to come home! We were so spoiled! We love and miss you guys dearly!

Cydni fell in love with them!

I think they fell in love with her too! ;-) Sorry Uncle Mario & Keith for getting our nasty bug!

What did we do you ask???
SIDEBAR: ***First and foremost, the Northeast & NYC would be a photographers PARADISE!!! My eyes were everywhere and on overload! and I don't even know really what to look for!*** I think they could've EASILY taken over 1000 photo's of NYC ALONE with all the gorgeous buildings and such!***
1. Ate some fabulous food...and more food...and more food! ;-)
2. Spent some precious time with family that we don't get to see very much!
3. Went to the beach in Connecticut. Um, I had no idea how GORGEOUS the Northeast is!
4. Went to NYC and saw a ton of sights! We took the double-decker bus ALL AROUND THE CITY and jumped on and off at Little Italy, Chinatown, Ground Zero, Time Square, Rockefellar Center, Statue of Liberty....and that was just the beginning! We took the train, shuttle and subway! We walked and walked and walked! and we could've seen and done SO MUCH MORE! There just wasn't enough time!
Here are some highlights from the trip... in no particular order.

I have one of Matt with these, but he said, 'DO NOT post this on your blog!" ahahah. We'll see! I got these for Cyd, but had to have some fun of my own with them!

Matt & I went to the city alone on Tuesday & Wednesday! Cyd was a terror on Monday, so Carolyn graciously volunteered to stay home and watch her! THANKS SO MUCH!

Show me your teeth! She's been 'cheesing' like crazy lately!

She discovered how to 'plug her ears' while we were on the train on the way back home! It was SO FUNNY!
NO NOISE.....
And, wala... NOISE!

Carolyn & Matt did a bit of this....

Grand Central Station

The girls!

Cydni HATED the sand, but she would play with the shells if she was in the middle of the beach blanket with no threat of having to get off of it!! ;-)

The water was still pretty chilly up north. We never got in it above our waist, but we had us some GORGEOUS weather and sat out there as much as we could!

Can you guess what this is???
It was a GLORIOUS DAY! ;-) I'm a belly sleeper....

A perfect little shelf for Miss Cyd.

I could go on forever and ever with pictures, but I will spare you... I think I took over 300! So, maybe I'll save some for future posts'... I hope you enjoyed a snippet of our last week! Now, I've got to catch up on all of the other blogs I haven't gotten to keep up with!

Swimmin' Digz!

This was Logan & Erin's swimmin' pool and we were lucky enough to have it passed on to us! We're having a great time with it! Cydni is saying, "Yes, mommy's big, white, whale of a butt, gets in here with me! It raises the water leve 2 inches!" hahaha ;-)

Don't you love our view!? I'm really going to miss this place! We're moving out in August! :-(

Baking...

Fresh Zucchinni bread! Every year my dad gives me so much zucchinni that I have it coming out of my ears, but this year, I've already baked 3 batches of bread and I'm down to one zucchinni! I'm making that Wednesday to take to my Aunt & Uncle when we visit them in NY/Connecticut. That makes the count to 8 loaves! (I have obviously been giving it to peeps - please don't tell me you thought I was eating all of it by the looks of my 28 week picture in a prior post! ;-))

mmmmm.....

I've also been baking the muffins out of blueberry packets! ;-) hahah. Cyd has some of these mini-me's every morning with her banana & oatmeal. So, I keep them stocked up and bake a packet about once a week.

I'm really trying to be a good stay-at-home momma! ;-) I'll have to see what my June report-card indicates! Just Kidding.... I think. I'll have to see what Matt is thinking! ;-)

Word of advice....

Don't take a toddler with you to NYC sight-seeing! ;-) It's way too much to ask of them to be confined on your lap, in your arms or in the stroller all.day.long.... I felt really bad for her. We're going back tomorrow & Wednesday, Cydni free! ;-)

We're having a ball though!

Zoo, Take 2!

First, sorry about the side-ways pictures! Can I rotate them in blogger?

I asked her if she was excited about the zoo, and this was the look I got! haha! And, I got the question the other day if I photoshopped her eyes and the answer is NO! I can't even rotate pictures, muchless use photoshop! ;-) haha She got those from her Daddy!

This time went much, much better! We set off right after breakfast and was home around one... Two hours is about the max I think... for all of us! ;-) Something funny has happened each time we went though.. We get to the splash park & Cyd's face starts getting splotchy and her eyes start watering. She wants nothing to do with the water sprayers, so we bypass it for the most part. We've tried each time and she freaks a bit. I bet if we had some of her cousins with us, she would do much better. We wonder if she's allergic to the mulch from the playland??? It's very interesting.

I promise I got some pictures of the animals, but who wants to see those!? ;-)

Checking out the goat. Not so sure about those horns!

She thought these guys were real and had a death grip around my neck/back!

Bird! Ahh! These are annoying me being side-ways!

Daddy's little girl!

Checking out an exhibit.

She freaked out on me on the carousel! Bear-hugging me with her head on my shoulder!

I'm pretty sure she's crying in this picture...
This was before she realized it moved!

All in all, it was a GREAT time! We've got a pass, so we'll be back!

Happy 4th, a little late...

I think 4th of July just might be my most-favorite holiday! Granted, the last 2 years, I haven't seen much of any fireworks, but I am just so proud to be an American. I know, that sounds gay to some people, but it's true. My brother is a Marine and I'm so, so proud of him and the sacrifice he makes for all of us. I don't tell him that enough, b/c everytime I get sentimental, everyone starts calling me 'gay', but seriously, I can't imagine what he's seen & has had to do while serving our country. He just graduated 'drill-instructor' school and is going to be that crazy guy screaming his head off at recruits, but he's molding our young men to be soldiers and I can't tell you how proud we are!

Happy late 4th everyone!
One of our 3 hand-me-down 4th outfits! ;-)

Evie & Cyd sitting in the big kid chairs.

My daughter started going all, "Oh no you're not sitting on my chair! These are MY chairs! Did you hear me!? Mine!? Everything in this house is M.I.N.E!" We'll have to work on that sharing.... So, Mimaw had to step-in and save the day!

Then papaw, stepped in and started pulling them around in the 'bus'.

They had a ball... until thier big booty's made the wheels fall off.

Cyd was tuckered out by the end of the night!

Hope everyone had a fun & safe 4th! It was rainy & gloomy here! Figures, a week of 70's & sun, and then the holiday weekend was full of doom & gloom! boo!

We're off for a week on vacation! Please pray for sleep for Cyd (and, of coarse, safe travels) on our 13 and some-odd hour endeavor! ;-)

28 Weeks

Boy, am I a hot-mess in these pictures or what! I always try to get a picture when I'm half-way ready, but I'm going to be packing this week and if I get out, it will only be quick trips to stores that doesn't require me taking a shower! ;-) haha

Um, I guess this is the start of the 3rd tri-mester?? I can't remember! How horrible is that!? With Cydni, I knew that I was 28 weeks and 2.5 days! ahahah It's SO different with your second! Obviously, I have other things on my mind this time around, like the well-being of a cute, little toddler, but I feel bad nonetheless. I already feel like Amelia is getting the shaft and she isn't even here!

So, everything is great. I can't complain one bit. I'm hoping I passed my gestational diabetes test... I haven't heard otherwise, so I'm assuming, no news is good news. I actually think I can call the lab... I'll have to do that! (Sorry, I'm typing what I'm thinking right now...) Anyways, at my last appt., The doctor says, "So, we'll see you in 3 weeks and after that, we'll see you every 2..." ~Imagine a puzzled look on my face...~ I told the lady when I was paying on my contract, "I don't know why she's already seeing me so much!" and the chick said, "Well, honey, after your next appointment, you're 30 weeks!" (I still think with Cyd I didn't start going every 2 weeks until 35, but who am I to question the doc!?) Again, Amelia is getting the short-end of the stick, b/c I really do not have any grasp on how far along I am...

So, after much senseless babbling, here is my 28 week picture. Sorry for my nastiness!

Happy Monday!
