Wordless Wednesday

This momma is tired... So, I'm going to forego all the rambling and just give you some highlights of the last few days! Amelia is 1 week old today! Time is flying by!

Wanted to do a quick prayer 'shout-out' to Katy... Poor little Kendra has hand, foot & mouth and it's been a rough week for them. I've heard that hfm is just horrid for a little-one to go threw, so I pray for a quick recovery for Kendra and lots of good days and good sleep to come soon for you all! Please lift this sweet family up in your prayers too!

I'm one week old today!

We are alive!

and doing great! I'm hoping to post some pictures of the weekend soon. We've had alot of company, so I'm trying to catch up on things and sleep when the kiddos are sleeping, so that doesn't leave alot of time for blogging! Sorry! Amelia has been an absolute joy and Cydni is loving having a 'sissy.' So far, the adjustment for all four of us has been pretty easy! I couldn't ask for more! and I'll be back soon with pictures!

The Fabulous Life...

You know that show on VH1 called 'The Fabulous Life of' and it always has something to do with riches in possessions.... It's kinda disgusting, but it always pulls you in to see how extreme people are and how far they go for the latest and greatest... Anyways, these are my 'riches'. You can give all my possessions to the birds, b/c I wouldn't give my life up for anything. My family...gosh, I just can't explain how grateful I am to the Lord for blessing me with such a FAB life. I feel like the richest woman in the world when I sit back and look threw the pictures that have been taken in the last two days. My heart overfloweth!

I thought this picture was precious b/c of how she's looking at her Daddy. (Looks like we're going to have another paci baby! She smacks & roots ALL THE TIME and finally I said, give me that paci! And she finally started to chill.. Phew, I don't know how many 1 hour plus 'feedings' I could take!)

Chad & Jen got the girls these shirts! I LOVE THEM & can't wait to get their pictures taken in them!

Such a sweet, sweet soul. Here's a little teaser... I'll post more when I get time tomorrow or when we get home. Thanks to Brooke for updating the blog! Amelia & I are doing well! Matt is over-the-moon for his baby girl & Cydni was thrilled to see/have a baby! Her attention span is short, so she was off & running & eating supper within 10 minutes of getting here! She didn't really show any jealousy.... yet!!

We've got milk, poop & pee! So, that means all is going well!

This picture doesn't do her hair justice! The nurses have been playing with it and styling her with a mohawk & bow! So fun! I'll get a picture of that later.

WELCOMING AMELIA! - Guest Blogger

Amelia Naville arrived today weighing a healthy 7 lbs 9 oz and is 19 inches long!

This is Brooke - Guest Blogger. I have been given the ultimate responsibility to share this incredible blessing with all of the Naville family followers!

Matt and Andrea arrived at the hospital bright and early at 7 AM for a scheduled c-section at 8:30. Amelia arrived at 9:20 AM! I hear she has more hair than her dad!

I have heard from Andrea just briefly, both mom and baby are doing great. Pictures soon to follow. Andrea was hoping to be able to update some pictures from the hospital but was not sure about the Internet service.

Big sister Cydni came to visit her new baby sister and did awesome!

As soon as they have access to the Internet I am sure Andrea will update everyone more!

Please be praying for the Naville family as they adjust to life as a family of four!

It's all about you, darling!

I don't want this to sound the wrong way, but this past weekend has been the 'last weekend as a family of three'... Not a bad thing, but major changes are about to take place and we really wanted to go out with a bang with Cyd. Not that we did a whole lot, but we spent all our time just hanging out. On Friday we went to see one of my besties, b/c her husband was singing here in town and Cyd made another friend. Saturday, we went to the riverfront and just walked around and let Cyd romp around on the playgrounds and today, we went to church & hung around the house watching football and playing with Cydni. What a great weekend it was! I loved every minute of it! It's been so nice not having anything to do but give your daughter all the love she deserves!

Now, bring on Amelia! We can't wait to meet her!!!!

on the transition to the big girl bed...

You.Amaze.Me... It seems that nothing will phase you when it comes to your sleep.... -knock on wood... (not that I really believe that that helps...i digress)- You've been in your big girl bed for 2 weeks now and you've acted like we haven't done or changed anything! you.are.a.dream. Thank you very much! ;-) And you melt my heart in the mornings.... Ya wanna know why??? B/C, almost every morning I find you sitting in your bed reading your Tiny Bear Baby Bible that I leave on your bedside table. So sweet! ;-)

One thing that we did was that we have bed rails up that are pretty much as big as the bed (b/c we intended on getting a twin-size bed, but stumbled upon this one.) So, it's kinda like a 'step-down' crib... ;-) It's working, so I'm not complaining one bit!

I've got one finishing piece to put in Cydni's room and I will post a picture! I love it! It's all thanks to Arlene!

Dear Cydni:

I don't know where to start with you, my little darling! You are such an amazing little girl and have brought so much joy to my life in the short 20 months that you've been here! Our family dynamic is about to change drastically and the part that has been the hardest on your momma is how all of this is going to affect you! I pray that you know my love for you will never change. Even though you're going to be a big sister, you're ALWAYS going to be my baby! These last few days, we've really been able to spend alot of one-on-one time together (without the thoughts mommy has of what she has to do when you go to sleep! ;-)) and I hope you're loving it as much as I have been! Leaving you for three days is like a dagger in my heart, but I know you're going to do amazingly for everyone who's going to be watching you! This makes me cry already, but I can't wait to see your little body running up to my hospital bed, saying "MOMMY!" and me squeezing you as tight as I can and smelling your sweet 'smell'. I'm going to miss you so much. I've never left you for this long! Shoot, I think I've only left you overnight once! I think I may have some issues! ;-) You're probably going to LOVE this time AWAY from me! ;-) i.hope.not...

So, as I'm sitting here being sappy, I just wanted to make sure you knew, that yes, mommy & daddy are ROCKING your perfect little world and you may be very upset with us, but we LOVE you more than you know and we're 'hoping' that you and your baby sister will be the best of friends and partners in crime throughout your life-time! I can't wait to see how you react with her! I have a sneaky suspicion (or a longing desire) that you're going to be a mother-hen and want to help me with everything... I'm perfectly fine with that and would love that more than you know, but if I'm wrong, that's ok too. We'll all adjust and find what makes our family tick.

So, here's to our last week together as a family of three. IT'S.ALL.ABOUT.YOU. ;-)

On a side note: I have to document what I woke up to Wednesday morning... You drawing on your bed rails with your POOP! Yes, poop. Pretty disgusting, pretty funny.... just don't do it again...please!? ;-)

Dear Amelia:

It's very surreal for me to think that I will have your sweet little body in my arms by this time next week. I.Can't.Wait. We've been so busy with moving & getting things ready before you entered this world and finally, over the last few days, I've really been taking it all in that you're going to be joining this crazy family.

Throughout my pregnancy, you've been a d.r.e.a.m. ;-) Thank you very much! I couldn't have asked for a better 9-10 months! You and your big sister really know how to treat your momma! ;-) Lately, you've been stepping on some organs that I really don't think you know how quickly puts me on my toes, but I'll take it. You are definitely a night-owl and have literally been shaking the bed when I lay down and get comfortable. It's so fun to watch my belly get so contorted! These last few days, you've finally been slowing me down. Mammoth-like breathing and some major duck-waddling, but I'm trying to savor each moment. I can't believe I'm not going to be pregnant in a week... It's kinda sad and brings tears to my eyes, but I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU, so that thought dries my eyes and brings a bright smile! I wonder what you're going to look like??? What's your personality going to be like??? Your eyes? Your hair? I'm over-the-moon excited to find this out in, now, LESSTHANAWEEK! Yahoo!

My little helper!

Have I told you how much I adore & love this little girl!? Well, if not, I do! We have our bad days, but she's just pure joy... and so much fun. Lately, she has just been my little helper! Whether it's cleaning, laundry, picking up or baking; she's always right there by my side and I love it!

This is us baking daddy some brownies for his birthday! She had a ball and of coarse, LOVED licking the spatula!

37 weeks and some change.

Well, I'll be 38 weeks next week and I figured since I wasn't doing anything, I'd post an updated belly picture. I've been having some nasty heartburn at night and have been dragging pretty bad lately (that could be b/c I'm burning the candle at both ends), but other than that, I love being pregnant! I've told you before that I'm 'that person!' Miss Amelia has literally been moving our bed at night when she's rumbling & tumbling. It's so funny!

I had my weekly appointment today and I've officially gained 19 lbs and am a 'finger-tip' dilated... I'm really not expecting much to happen in the next 11 days. I'm at peace with the Lord's plan whether I go on my own or I end up with my scheduled c-section date. Everything works out as it should and I'm ready either way!

I hope no one is too offended by my monstrous tum tum! If so, sorry! Have a good weekend!

My friend, Tracie, gave me some hand-me downs of her daughters and she just so happened to have two of the same dress! Perfect opportunity to dress the besties alike!

Did I tell you I have the best friends & family anyone could ask for!? They're all AMAZING and we love each and everyone of them deeply! Thank you again, Tracie!

Look what a sweet family my baby 'bro' has! I'm so happy for Chad & Jen and know that they are going to be AWESOME parents! ;-) CONGRATULATIONS! We miss you all so much and can't wait to see those girls again! oh, and you too! hehe.



Born 9.3.09 @ around 3:15 pm.. Fun tidbit... Ayela was first, but they entered the world in the same 'minute'! I thought that was awesome considering they're identical and all.

Happy Birthday to the Love of my Life!

Matt is in his last year of his twenties! Too bad I'm only going to share them with him for a few more months! Yes, I robbed the cradle, but not too badly! ;-) Anyhow, see that smile on my face? That's pure joy, love & happiness and I still feel exactly that way about him today! He's absolutely wonderful and never ceases to amaze me. I'm so incredibly blessed that the Lord's plan for my life included him! So, THANK YOU LORD, for creating such a blessed soul and having our paths cross 9 years ago!

Cydni says 'Happy Burrtday' and 'I wuv wooo'!!! She told me too that she thinks you're the best Daddy in the whole, wide world and that she hopes you have a great day!

And, I love you too! Happy 29th Birthday! The rest of your present will be here in, oh say, TWO WEEKS! ;-)

Can you believe someone GAVE this to us!? Cydni LURVES it! I mean absolutely LURVES it! Hence the seat inside for mommy & daddy... She makes us sit in there while she hits the doorbell and opens & closes the door about a 100 times a day! Thank You Carolyn for thinking of us and thank you Jennifer! We appreciate it more than you know!
