Happy Halloween!

So, my blogging break wasn't intentional... Living on a 3 hour schedule is pretty monotonous & the weather has been dreadful (there were a few days of glorious sunshine, but for the most part, it's been nasty), so I haven't had a whole lot to blog about... We did have our first 'walk', playing in the leaves and some playdates, so those will be future posts', but for now, since it is Halloween, here are a few pictures of the girls dressed up in different everyday outfits and their actual Halloween outfits.

There, Chad, are you happy! ;-) It's updated! ;-)
Enjoy!

I just thought this outfit was cute. Her tights have 'Happy Halloween' and pumpkins on them.

This is Amelia's outfit. I didn't see a need to get her all uncomfortable for a whopping 30 seconds of pictures, so we'll do something fun next year.

Our little gnome! ;-) Matt and I's favorite show is Amazing Race (the travelocity gnome plays a big role in the show) and when we saw this outfit at Walmart, it was a done deal! I think it's hilarious.

1 month

Amelia is One month old today (yesterday)! And, to celebrate, she smiled for the first time! She's been 'talking' a bit more, but she still just mainly sleeps... She's giving mommy 4 & 5 hours of stretches at night with eating... very much needed!
Stats:
Weight ~ 10 lbs. 14 ozs. ~ 90-95%
Height ~ 22 ins. ~ 90%
The doc. says she looks perfect!

Cydni celebrated by licking her plate and getting ketchup all over her nose, clothes, chin, hair and hands! I swear, I'm going to smell it for days! ;-)
Hope everyone is doing well! Much love!

neglected

Our poor dogs. I'm feeling sorry for them tonight, but if you ask me most days, I'm ready to give them away. I really don't mean it, but they are really on my nerves 23 hours of each day! ;-) It was the same way when I brought Cyd home, so I'm sure it will pass... I guess they deserve a post...

Bandit ~ Who thinks he's a cat, he sits on top of the couches watching out the window, and who barks and antagonizes Rocky all the time. So annoying. He has separation anxiety and freaks out when there is anything in between he and Matt and I. Who is a very loving dog, makes up for prior statement, and will cuddle and love on you for hours. He's like a daggon gazelle. Very mishapen. Long, tall and lean.

Rocky ~ Who is always at the bottom of my feet.. I've almost tripped over him atleast a dozen times... He's a pretty chill little fellow who is a chunker and can't jump on our bed. Shoot, he struggles to jump up on the couch. He is 56 years old, so I guess that's expected. He's a snuggler too. A butterball, the opposite of Bandit, short and chunky.

They both do great with the girls and were a part of the family before, so I guess they're keepers! ;-) They walk on thin ice alot though! ;-)

Thank You, Beth!

My sister-in-law, Beth, came over Saturday and played with her new SLR camera for our first family photo shoot! She did an awesome job for it being her first time! We learned alot and can't wait for our next 'session'! ;-) Enjoy!

Toy Room

AKA: The formal dining room, but since we're not formal people, it's Cyd's (& Amelia's.. I've got to get used to that!) play room.

Yes, she.. errr, they, have too many toys!

Our Munchkin...

Is getting so big! I took her to the doctor's office today for some gas, reflux, pooping issues and she is now weighing a whopping 10 lbs! Holy Moly! All of the other measurements will come next week at her ONE MONTH CHECK-UP! Where is the time going!? It seems like it's creeping by in 'live' mode due to the lack of sleep, but looking back on everything, it's going super, super fast!

She is moving into Size 1 diapers once we finish off the newborn ones.
I'm not setting our alarm anymore to feed her... Which psychologically, is awesome... however, she still wakes up right on cue...sometimes earlier. boo.

She had her first bottle, and of coarse, big sissy had to be there to help Daddy out! ;-)

and, her hair is very unruly! ;-)

Well, this momma is tired and I still have to get Cyd down, fold all of our clothes, and feed Amelia... I just keep telling myself...This is short-lived, this is short-lived, this is short-lived. Keep truckin', keep truckin', keep truckin'.
I'm going to do a confession like Aimee did on her blog... We've been watching alot of t.v. around here. Zone and zombied out t.v. watching. I'm hoping that when we get on some semblance of a schedule, I'll be able to really devote and create things for Cyd and I to do together. Right now, we watch lots of dvr'd Sesame Street and Dinosaur Train! ;-) But, I have found the time to paint her toe-nails, feed her, make muffins and bathe her! ;-) Please don't turn me in. haha
Much love!

Welcome Faith Danielle!

Cograts Dan, Tiff & Evie! I can't wait to get my hands on her! (These were taken through the viewing window. They still had her in the nursery while I was there.)

Cydni's Room

Make sure you check out the post after this. I accidentally pushed 'post' and now I can't figure out how to rearrange them!

Thanks Arlene for the squares on the wall (she picked out the fabric too), the covers for the bedrails, the reupholstered pads for the rocking chair and the tiny bear baby bible!!! If you all need any design ideas or anything created for you, let me know! Arlene has a 'side biz' she just started and she would love to help you out!

Getting to know Miss Amelia

I'm not gonna lie, today was a tough day for me... I started reading a book. about parenting.routines.feeding.etc.etc. You get the picture. Bad mistake, b/c it made me feel like I was already off to a bad start! Which, in turn, lead to a little breakdown, but crisis averted after talking with Kasie! Thanks again!!! We've been doing awesome otherwise and I'm putting that book up until a later date! ;-)

Now, onto a bigger, better subject! One of my sweet girls!

I'm two weeks old today!
I eat every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. And am nursing like a champ. However, momma gets frustrated, b/c I keep falling asleep. On that note, I sleep pretty darn good in between eating, but don't make me wait too long, b/c I've got a TEMPER when I'm hungry! Just like my momma.
I've got my mom's lips, nose and ears and I have my dad's big feet, long fingers and nail beds (I would've never picked that up if it wasn't for Michelle ;-))
I went to the doctor for a weight check on Monday... Weighed 7 lbs 9 oz at birth, went home at 7 lbs, first week weight check was 7 lbs 7 oz AND second week check was 8 lbs 8 ozs!!! That's over a pound in a week!
My hair is getting lighter and my eyelashes longer!

I love my big sissy and am looking more and more like her with each passing day.

I lost my umbilical cord yesterday! And, it's going to be an 'outie'!

And, got my first bath today... I.hated.it!
And, apparently, I stick my tongue out at people when I sleep.

Oh, and, I love New York! This is for you Carolyn (if you read this) and Chad & Jen! Thanks!

Well, that's all I've got for you tonight. Much love!

Mimi ~ Sissy

Miss Cydni is just loving being a big sister! I'm so incredibly thankful that the Lord gave me the experience to witness sisterly love at its best! Cydni woke up this morning saying 'Sissy!' She's my little helper, throwing diapers away, getting me wipes and giving 'Mimi' her paci (what we've been calling her - Cyd came up with it, so I guess Mia is no more! :-)). She wants to hold her all the time and anytime I'm changing Amelia's diaper, she'll lay right down beside her & want hers changed too! It's been so fun watching them!
