7 Things I Love...

TO DO: list seven things I love and pass it on to other bloggers that put a smile on my face.

These are 7 things aside from the obvious Family & Friends.

1. God. No explanation needed. Easter reminds us why.

2. Spring - Fall. If we could eliminate winter, I'd be an even happier little lady!

3. VACATIONS! I can remember each of them like they were yesterday! We're heading to Connecticut beaches & New York this summer and I can't wait!

4. Stealing this one from Courtney - Falling asleep in the sun - and in turn, getting burned to a crisp. The heat, in most cases, doesn't bother me b/c I'm one of those "rather be hot than cold" girls....

5. PICTURES! If you haven't already noticed, I take my camera with me EVERYWHERE!

6. Lazy days on the couch. These are few and far between anymore!

7. Blogging. I was very much the type of person who said, "I will NEVER create a blog or facebook page." I eat my words once again, b/c I love both! It's so fun meeting strangers & "getting to know them" and finding old friends. It's been very addictive and therapeutic for me.

"Twinkies"

Saturday we were Cincy bound to celebrate two little babies about to enter this world! I threw a shower for my dear friend, Brooke who's about to pop out TWINS! She's been on bedrest for 4 weeks now and we hope she stays put for atleast 4 more! ;-) She needs to bake those kiddos for a little while longer! ;-) But, in all seriousness, I'm so proud of Brooke & Brian! They are such great parents and if anyone in our "group" of friends could handle twins, it's them! They balance each other out perfectly and are always a joy to be around! We love you guys and can't wait to meet Dakota & Jaxson! Little "T" is going to be a GREAT Big Brother! I can still hear his sweet little laugh!

It was SO GREAT to see all the college roomies! We never miss a beat when we get together and I miss each of them SO VERY MUCH! Love you girls!

Such a sweet & special family! Brooke looks AWESOME! She's ALL belly!

Matt & I were really bummed we forgot to pray with B & B before we left, so, since I know Brooke checks this, I will just do it here! ;-) I told her I'd be very specific with my prayers for them, so I couldn't miss anything! ;-) God cares about the little details too! ;-)

Heavenly Father, I just want to lift Brooke, Brian & Tyson up to you right now. I pray that they are hearing great news from the doctor (as we speak) and your will for those babies is to stay snug in Brooke's belly for atleast 4 more weeks and that they are each atleast 3 lbs. right now. I pray that you prepare B,B&T's hearts for Dakota & Jaxson's arrival and for weeks/months after they are here. It's going to be a huge adjustment, but I know that they all can handle it. I praise you for the huge support of B&B's family, church family & friends that you've surrounded them with. They are going to be well-taken care of in the next few months! ;-) Lord, whatever your will is, we know that you will be with them and they can rest peacefully knowing that you already have all of this planned out and they are just living out your story of love & family. Father, I told Brooke I'd be specific with my prayer in that, I pray that you may spare her from those stinkin' stretch marks. At 30 weeks, there isn't one in sight and I know she'd appreciate it if that stayed the same! ;-) hehe.... Lord, we know that you are a good God and we can't wait until you unveil your plan for these twinkies. Ultimately, we pray for a healthy mommy and 2 healthy babies... The other details will just be icing on the twinkies! ;-) We love you, Lord and praise you for all of our many blessings, especially for Brooke & Brian's friendship! It's in your heavenly name I pray, AMEN!

We are just loving this warmer weather... The last two days have been rainy, but it's so nice just to throw on a light jacket!

Cyd has been doing great lately... Well, minus the little temper tantrums! ;-) They seem to be happening more often lately, but, in her defense, I was feeling around in her mouth yesterday and her second molar has broken through AND both of her bottom molars are making their way up! geez! Poor thing! So, I don't mind the tantrums, well, I guess it depends on what mood I'm in... ;-) It's just part of it.

Her vocabulary just keeps expanding and "puppy" is her latest word she keeps saying over and over. So cute! My mind is completely drawing a blank as to what else she's saying. She tries to mimick everything we say, but sometimes nothing comes out or it doesn't sound anything like what we had said. haha.

She loves books and is actually starting to sit through us reading them! Especially at night-time. She's sooo sweet. Just sits there all calm and relaxed.. Melts our hearts!

Dr. Brown's is officially put up on the shelf waiting for Baby Bean #2! She's doing awesome without them (bottles if you don't know what I'm talking about) and doing awesome with her sippy. I don't know why I ever worry, b/c it always seems she just picks it up right when she needs to...

Eating... ugh, eating... she's definitely making strides, but completely refuses to try some new things! It's so weird! Even good stuff like jello. It took her FOREVER to take some bites of it! I'm just going to keep trying.... Last night, I tried those little turkey things (that kids are supposed to LOVE). Nope, not her. atleast not yet. She won't try any diced fruit... She's been doing good with the toddler meals and some of our table-food... I was eating some tomatoes with ranch (Yummy! ;-)) and she just HAD to have a taste! She loved the ranch, of coarse, but the tomatoes popped right back out of her mouth! ;-) We'll get there. If she's anything like me, tomatoes will be one of her FAVES!

And, lastly, her paci. That's going to be our next big feat! Whether it's a month or 6 months (tops for me) from now, I'm DREADING taking that away! I'm sure she'll surprise us and do fine, but anybody out there have any special tips??? It's relinquished right now to the car seat (It's so funny, b/c when I'm getting ready to get her out of the car, she'll just hand it to me and be fine! haha....) and sleep-time & sometimes when she's begging for it.... I'm not in a real hurry right now to get rid of it... I'm not a fan, but if that soothes her, then so be it.... but, just thinking about taking it away makes my head spin! It brings her comfort and I feel bad... and, let's be honest, the "looks" I sometimes get and conversations I hear get to me and make me feel guilty for her having one... But, I know that I'm not a bad mommy just b/c she has one.... to each their own! You never know until you're there. end rant.

Baby Stellan

I have added a button to the left that says, "Praying for Stellan" and I hope you would to. Or, just say a quick prayer for this sweet baby. See, Stellan is a miracle baby. He wasn't supposed to survive when he was born due to a heart defect, but did with a clean bill of health. In a surprise twist, that same heart defect has mysteriously appeared again and he is in v-tach. Please pray to our Lord for him and his family.

Heavenly Father, I lift sweet, baby Stellan up to you! Please calm his heart and bring him back to his mommy. I know that you have his sweet life planned already and I just pray that with whatever those plans are, you bring peace to his family and I pray that they feel your presence with them at this time. I pray that you give the doctors & nurses working on Stellan calm hands and the best doses of medicine to help him come out of this heightened heart rate. Lord, please hear our prayers for healing & peace! Amen.

On another note, I bit the bullet and Cyd no longer is taking a bottle! Makes me very sad and happy at the same time. No more washing those stinkin' Dr. B's bottles! The first day was a little sketchy. I tried just replacing the bottle with a sippy and acting like nothing was different and she DID NOT think that was very cool. She actually screamed at me and made me shed a few tears... Alas, I just went in and fed her breakfast and all was good. This morning went great. I think we've got a new routine to follow and all will be well! Thanks for all the advice ladies!
