Fun times!

3 posts in 3 days! I must not have much to do! ;-) Tomorrow is the big day! So, you will probably be hearing from me again! Is it another girl or is it a boy!?!? Take a guess! Quick, you've got exactly 24 hours!
We went to Huber's Petting Zoo this past weekend and all my child wanted to do was play on the playground! Um, I'm sure I will be finding some FREE playgrounds in my future, unless I can convince Mr. Huber to give us a free pass with rent! haha! ;-) Worth a try!

Please excuse my pasty, WHITE self! ugh!

Peacocks! Cyd LOVED the roosters & chicks that were in there!

I swear, she would walk right into that water after those ducks.

Trying on Mr. Potato Head glasses at Jerry & Kasie's!

Ben too!

Such a BIG GIRL in her summer clothes! ;-) Her hair is wet, b/c she had just taken her nasty, spaghetti hand and tried to pull out that rubber-band.

Stylin'!

Is it bad...

that my child eats some sort of "sgetti" for 3/4 of her meals!? ;-) Oh, how she loves it so!

No, she didn't eat that whole plate!

"A Walk In the Cloudsish"

OK. Pay attention... When my sister-in-law, Kasie, told me that the bride - of the wedding we went to on Friday evening - said it was going to be a lot like "A Walk in the cloudsish," she wasn't kidding!!!
One word. GORGEOUS! Emily Thieneman & Chris Ludwig, both in our bible study, were married on Friday evening at the Hanover Campus Chapel. The campus itself is beautiful and the chapel is just darling! We had such a great time with our group and we're oh-so happy for Chris & Emily! They are just perfect together! I'm so glad we got to share in thier big day! Their "love story" has been such an inspiration and I know that thier married life is going to be too! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for them!

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS & EMILY LUDWIG!

Yes, that's Bob Russell officiating! Such a great pastor!

How can you resist this face?

Someone help me, b/c she melts my heart & I don't think I'm going to be able to ever discipline her! ;-) I love you so much sweet Cydni! You, your father and this sweet kickin' little bean are my heart and I don't know what I'd do without you all! I just found that first song (Darius Rucker - It won't be like this for long) on my playlist today on someone else's blog and it brings tears to my eyes at how fast you've changed/are changing.... Please stop....RIGHT NOW!

Welcome to the World Jaxson & Dakota!

My friend, Brooke, had her twins TODAY! Yay! Everyone is doing great! She had lost "something" Sunday (hehehe - You ladies know what I'm talking about) and had a doc appointment yesterday morning. She's been soooo-very uncomfortable lately, with back pains & some contrax, but the doctor sent her home... 8 pm, her water broke & Miss Dakota was on her way! ;-) She was 2 centimeters by 9 and by 1:02 Dakota was here! The doctor then had to break Jaxson's water and pull him out feet-first! Yikes! But, all is well! They're both breathing on their own & have an iv at the moment. I'm sure Mommy & Daddy are just reeling from all the excitement!

Congrats Brooke, Brian & Tyson! Can't wait to meet the newest additions! Love you!

Stats:

Dakota - Born @ 1:02 AM 4.9 & 18 inches

Jaxson - Born @ 1:12 AM 4.1 & 17 inches

Do you see a pattern?

Taking be'be' for a ride while chowing on her first oreo.
Walking be'be' while chowing that same oreo.

Heading to Evansville with be'be & Elmo!

HAD to eat with be'be' & Elmo.
She also has HAD to take be'be' &/or Elmo with her to Tiffany's the past few days too!

hahaha! I LOVE it! Happy Monday!

Easter 2009

What an awesome Easter! We started the day off with a fantastic sermon from Kyle @ the new Southeast Indiana Campus. It was incredible to see the people coming in to hear the story of Jesus' resurrection! He is risen indeed! God is so good!

A few pictures from the day...

The bunny brought a little green rain jacket, cotton dress & a new baby einstein video!

Lookin' darlin'!

This 'do' only got ripped out about 5 times!

Hunting for eggs that are all gone..... She was everywhere and kept us busy!

She wouldn't even give us 2 seconds of her time!

Off again!

On our way home... T-minus 2 minutes until she's asleep.

We're ALL rejuvenated after our 1 1/2 naps! ;-)

Reading in the kids rocking chair that Grandma 'D' recovered.

Back at it!

The whole gang... minus Miss Evelyn! She was too tuckered out!

All done! All the kiddo's did awesome!

Playing in the box at the end of the day. This never gets old.

Happy Thursday! I get to leave early today for Cyd's 15 month check-up! Woo-hoo, just what I want to do! Go take her to get a shot!

Happy Birthday Chad!

My brother turns 28 today! Happy, Happy Birthday Bro! I don't tell Chad this enough, but I'm so proud of him and love him very much! He's going to be a great daddy to TWINS!

Me & Chad

16 weeks

Wow, this is going by really fast!

I'm beginning to think more PINK is in our future! ;-) Why? Well, my pregnancy seems to be so much like the way I was with Cydni. The only real "side-effects" I'm having is car-sickness - I thought it was from Matt's driving, but I was driving on our ever-so-windy roads and started feeling sick, so I guess I can't blame it on him anymore! ;-) - I'm SO SICK of my bloody noses and my sleep issues have caused me to turn to Tylenol PM.... I'm still having my "nothing sounds or taste good" problem.... But, that's about it! So, I can't complain! Right now, I'm in the "in-between" stage with clothes. Maternity clothes are ginormous on me and my regular clothes are getting to the uncomfortable stage. I bought some belly bands to get me through the next few weeks, but today I didn't want to fool with them and wore some big maternity pants. Comfortable makes me happy! ;-)

***For My Records***

Now that Cyd is over her bug, she's been back to normal and fun as ever! Matt & I drove about an hour away to Columbus for a retirement party on Friday and she went with us... We were about 10 minutes away when she started getting bored, so Matt turned up the radio and we started shaking our heads "singing," or maybe common folk would call it screaming! ;-) Well, bad idea, b/c she now thinks it's fun to scream anytime, anywhere! ;-) Quite embarrassing when you're in a very quiet restaurant with some people not thinking it was funny! ;-) Oh well, we were laughing. Kids will be kids!

While we were on that hour long trip we decided to think of what all she's been doing & saying lately. So, at almost 15 months, her vocabulary consists of:

Puppy, Poppi (g-pa), baby (sounds like be'be'), bubble, dog, mommy, daddy, thank you, stop, duck, out, hey, hi, cat, ball, what's that and UH OH!

She signs: Please, more, thank you, all done and milk

Animal sounds: cow, elephant & monkey... She does cow consistently, but not monkey or elephant! ;-)

She sings, "EIEI O!" She's always walking around singing something now.... I've noticed that if she's upset and I start singing, she just watches me intently and calms down... Probably wondering why in the world I would subject her to such an atrocity of a voice!

If you catch her "on a mission," she'll be swingin' that arm as forcefully as she can to help her get to where she needs to go! ;-)

She's great at giving kisses.... and in turn smacking you in the face.... NOTSOFUN! We've had to do 2 time-outs in her bed and there's been quite a bit of "hand squeezing" and firm "NO, We don't hit so and so and/or take away thier toy. That's NOT NICE!" Remember when her heart would break when I told her no? Well, now, it doesn't even phase her! She looks at me like, you have no idea what you're talking about! ... I think I like her tearing up better! '-)

Oh, and someone, anyone, PLEASE offer up some tips on table food! This is such a struggle for me! I get SO frustrated that one day she will eat stuff off our plate and the other she won't! Even if it's the SAME EXACT THING! ugh! Even little toddler meals... She won't touch it one night and the next, she'll eat it. I have to force it in her mouth sometimes to show her that she likes it and then she'll eat the whole meal! It's like this with everything and wearing me out!

And then, I look at this face and forget all about it....
So sweet.

It's Monday.and raining. blah. I'm so ready for these April showers to be over! Bring on the May flowers, please! Hope everyone had a great Easter. I'm sure I'll do a post on that later in the week.

They don't fib when they tell you...

that you feel the second baby sooner than you did the first! It feels just as glorious as when I first felt Cyd (which was around 20 weeks)! I was sitting in bible study last night and allofasudden, I felt little nudges on the bottom of my belly... I thought, "No... it's too early!" and I just kinda went on listening, then all of a sudden, tiny little poke,poke,poke... over and over again! SO FUN! We were talking about Jesus' crucifixion and the criminals that were there with Him in that moment & I couldn't even concentrate! It must've been Kasie's tea! If so, thanks Kasie! I'll remember last night forever!

So, first movement, April 9th, 2009. 15 weeks 5 days.

16 week post coming soon! Happy Friday & Happy Easter!

John 3:16-17

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

*************************************************

These are just raw thoughts coming from me... not completely thought out...very random, but just needed to share so I have some accountability of sorts....

This morning on the way to work, I came to the realization of how selfish I've been lately....err, I guess how I've always been... I'm always thinking, how is this going to affect me? Cydni? my day? my schedule? and I've just been completely appalled (sp?) with myself thinking about it. I want to turn over a new leaf & live a life that is giving & helping of others. like Jesus. It's in our nature to be selfish and I know this new task is going to be difficult, b/c I've been so completely absorbed in my life, but with Jesus' story of his crucifixion, burial & resurrection being told by hundreds & thousands of churches around the world, it's finally hitting me that it's not about me . It's about Him. I knew this, but wasn't quite ready to give up my hold on "my agenda"..... We should be praising & glorifying Him. In all things and circumstances. We should be serving & loving each other...not condemning each other, not judging each other... you get my drift. God gave his son... for us... for the forgiveness of our sins.. Could you imagine His despair? He made this HUGE sacrifice...why can't I just let go??? of my control, of my wants, desires, anger, of anything!? Ugh! I stuggle with this so much!

So, in this Easter season, if you so dare, give thanks to our Almighty & Powerful God, who made the ultimate sacrifice for you, for us... and praise Him for His son's resurrection! Jesus is here, with us, in each of our spirits. in the homeless man on the road, in the guy/gal in the car driving super slow, in the angry co-worker, in your daughter, son, father, husband, wife, g-ma, g-pa...in everyone... Just know, that he's here, somewhere, always with us, every step of the way. You just have to love Him & accept Him into your life. It doesn't matter what anyone says or does... All that matters is your relationship with Him.

Thank you Lord, for your never-ending love, your understanding, your sacrifice for us who keep sinning! You are a forgiving Savior!

feverish

Well, at 14 1/2 months, we're dealing with a prolonged fever. We've been so very blessed & lucky that Cyd has been incredibly healthy this whole time... until now. Yes, we had a few minor colds, but nothing that held a fever for 4 days! It started Friday night & her temp averaged 102 the entire weekend. Tylenol & Motrin would get the temp down, but nothing really below 100. So, off to the doc on Monday we went! I was thinking virus... Verdict is: Ear infection in one ear, the other is somewhat "irritated," her throat looks "nasty" (as the doc described), but wouldn't give her meds for that-b/c of her age- AND LOTS of teeth coming in! Poor girl! The doc is hoping that the amoxicilan that she prescribed for her ear infection will clear up her throat too.... if it's bacterial, if not, it's just going to have to run it's coarse. I stayed home with her again today b/c the doc said she probably needed one more day... I wanted to give her a day without fever so we could somewhat make sure she wouldn't pass it on to Evie right before Easter.... So, that's what's been occupying my time & thoughts lately! I'm glad we finally got some answers!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another note, to pass some of the sick time, Dad, Debbie, Chad & Jen came to visit on Sunday! It was so nice to see them and spend the day just enjoying each others company! Unfortunantly, Cyd wasn't in the best of moods, but she was a trooper! Enjoy the pictures!
Taking her baby for a walk
Giving Poppy kisses!
Look at this look! Hard-telling what's going on in that little head of hers!
She conned Poppy into blowing bubbles! ;-) Or, was it me doing the conning! ;-)
Conned Jen into giving her some of her banana.
Chad learning to read before his kiddos get here! ;-)
and conned Granny into playing.
Granny & Poppy.
With Uncle Chad & Aunt Jen
It was a great day with lots of conning! ;-) No, I think they were all happy to do whatever made the little feverish child happy! ;-) We love you guys & thanks for coming! See you in a few weeks!
