Grandma Naville

I have to report with a heavy heart, that Grandma Naville went to be with our Lord & Saviour last night. I was just told that when she first went into the hospital, she told one of her daughters that when the pain got too severe, she would go to her happy place... Which was heaven. Thankfully, she is going to be in her happy place for eternity waiting for all her precious gems to join her... in the Lord's timing. As sad as this is, it's also a time of great celebration. Celebration of the life her and Grandpa created. 11 kids, 40 grandkids, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 more on the way! I heard one of the kids call it an 'empire'! haha! That's so funny. You couldn't imagine all of the stories being told about her life... It's awe-inspiring. She was a woman with such strength, faith, love, devotion, selflessness and sheer gratitude for all her blessings from the Lord. You never caught her without a smile or complaining.... She had such a genuine happiness in her life that was contagious to all who were around her! You couldn't imagine the love you would feel from her just being in the same room with her... The love in the waiting room with her kids & grandkids was radiating...it was the love they learned from her. Families like these are hard to come by nowadays and I'm so incredibly blessed to be a part of it. I only hope and pray to leave half of a legacy that she has.

Matt and I have finally come to a conclusion on our babies name and it brings tears to my eyes to even say it.. Amelia Jean Naville. It's only appropriate. Yes, both our mothers hated that middle name, but when Matt remembered last night that Grandmas middle name was Jean too, it sealed the deal. As much as I loved the middle-name of Grace, I can't imagine it being anything other than Amelia Jean now. I personally love saying that I'm named after my Grandma Hoehn and I can't wait until Amelia has that pride in saying that about her middle name of not only 1, but 3 Grandmas.....
This post doesn't do her life justice. But, I just had to share a little snippet of her life with you all. I hope and pray that each and every one of you have a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, pillar, inspiration or 'someone' out there that has touched your life how she has touched every.single.life she has come into contact with.... I could go on for hours about our sweet, gorgeous grandma and I've only known her for 8 short years. I can't imagine all of the feelings & stories that are going to be shared in the coming days by people who have known her their entire lives...
Blessings to you all.

Beautifully written for a beautiful lady and child of God. My most precious memory of her is her laughter - hearty and one of a kind. She will be missed but rest assured she is with Our Lord and her loved ones. Know of our love for all of you.

PS If you need someone to keep Cyd, please let me know.

I work with Hiedi Smith and I have been hearing about sweet Grandma Naville that was very sick and I then was told that she passed away, I was shocked when I got on Andrea Utleys, blog and saw this. Then it dawned on me who you are and how it all fits together. I am Andreas mom. So sorry about your loss and where does the Grandma Hoehn come in? I am a Hoehn; twice removed, but still a Hoehn Ha

Hi Karol! I read Andrea's blog all the time & I recognize you when I come in with Cydni to Nassim! Such a small world!

Anyhow, I married into the Naville family. Matt & I met in college. I'm from Poseyville, IN & my dad is Francis Hoehn. Andrea & I actually had a conversation about this a few months ago! I can't remember correctly, but she said you were a 'Hoehn' from around here..??? Crazy that the spelling is the same!

I know Michelle too! Brooke (her sister-in-law) and I are best buds from college! And, the world just got even smaller! haha

Thanks for your condolences! They are much appreciated!

So sorry for your loss. She sounds like one amazing lady. Her legacy will live on in all of those that she touched.

And, for the record, I love Jean. One of my good friends has a daughter, Audrey Jean, and I have always loved it.
