Working 9 to 5...

Is ALMOST OVER! I can finally post about it! Effective June 1, 2009, I will officially be a Stay-At-Home Momma! Ever since Cyd was born, or even in "utero," I've had this overwhelming feeling that I'm supposed to be at home with my kids. This is a FAR CRY from my college days when I thought I was always going to be a Career Momma, but, oh those little boogers sure do a workin' on ya! Another prayer answered....all in God's timing.

I know, I know, it's not all glorious and wonderful and golden... It's work 24/7... I don't get an 8 HOUR BREAK anymore, but this change is WELCOME! I'm up for the challenge!

I can start to put my little darlin' to work! ;-) hehe

You will really enjoy staying home. You are right, there are days that are hard, but it's so worth it. (not that there is anything wrong with kids that go to sitters/daycare:), I just think, from what I know of you, you will REALLY love it! :) My only little piece of advice (and you can do what you want with it-haha!), don't lose yourself in it. It was a HUGE adjustment for me. I stayed homed from day 1 with Abby, so maybe that is why it was a tad bit hard. But, for months, I was 'that mom.' I was always in hooded sweat shirts, jeans, hair in pony tail (I was about to submit myself to What Not To Wear-ha!)...had very few adult conversations/interactions (aside from when Scott got home from work)...I totally threw myself into the, 'must be perfect mother, wife, homemaker role' and it's just not possible. Staying home is HARD at times, but just remember to still take time for YOU, for you and Matt, continue to make 'me time,' and don't let other Moms make you feel bad about anything. I seem to find myself quite different from most stay at home moms in this area. I am usually the only one at storytime in my Uggs, sipping a latte and reading People magazine while the librarian reads the story to the kids-haha!, but you know...that's me! Finally, when Abby was about 6mo. old I joined the gym and let me tell you...it changed my life. I finally had something of my own again! YAY!..ha! So, while you will LOVE it, and you will have SO much fun with those sweet little girlies, remember to take time for Mommy, too! ;) I am really excited for you! Too bad I don't live closer to home, we could have too much fun with all of our girls!
